Learn French with the Pumblechums – Paperback

Learn French with the Pumblechums is a series of children's books aimed at 4-8 year olds.

The books use a more child-friendly version of the method found in the 3 Minute French series. The reader is introduced to words and phrases that the main character, 'Blue', learns in his very own French lessons.

Small pronunciation guides show the reader how to say each word by giving them a word it rhymes with in English. The reader is then prompted to use the words they've learnt to build sentences.

The good thing about the Pumblechums series is that the child can learn completely autonomously. Since all the words and phrases are introduced slowly, and have a pronunciation guide, children can learn all by themselves simply by reading. The pronunciation guides are also useful for parents who want to help younger children learn French, because they don't require any prior knowledge of the language themselves in order to read along with their children.
